FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Do I receive a race pack?

You will not receive a race pack through the post. Instead, you must bring a printed copy of your confirmation email along on race day. When handing this in, you’ll receive a t-shirt for us to identify you as a participant.

How do I collect a race pack?

Upon arrival at your chosen race location, look out for our BMF staff and volunteers. Upon providing them with a printed copy of your confirmation email, you’ll receive a wrist band to show you’re paid and entered.

Are children allowed?

Yes, children are encouraged to enter with an accompanying adult. Child entries cost £1 and they’ll receive a medal. Pushchairs are also welcome, but we kindly ask you to start towards the back of the group.

Are dogs allowed?

Dogs are allowed and must be on a leash. We ask dog walkers/runners to start towards the back of the participant group.

What time should I arrive?

We suggest you arrive at about 10:15am so that you can get your wrist band. A warm up and welcome speech will commence at about 10:50am, before the race start at 11am.

What should I wear?

We suggest that participants take note of the weather forecast for the day. Warm base layers, and waterproof/windproof top is highly recommended. If the weather is very cold, warm leggings/trousers and warm lightweight jackets/coats are recommended – especially for less experienced participants.

What do I receive as an entrant?

All entrants will receive a free event t-shirt and medal.
